Rules Page
Purpose:

The purpose of these rules is to facilitate honest discussion among the widest range of forum members without unduly restricting the freedom to express and explore ideas. It is my desire, as the forum owner, to get people to think about issues and ideas from a Biblical perspective. I know certain topics can become offensive to persons of more delicate sensitivities. But when those topics are covered in the Bible and need to be explored, maybe certain people need to conform their thinking and sensibilities to the Bible instead of the other way around. That being said, if a member wants to make an ass of himself, he must remember that others are watching.

One of the express purposes of this forum is to get single, likeminded individuals to know each other so that they can know they are not alone. This purpose includes the natural result of single men getting to know single women. If a member wants to drive off all the women, he must know that he is only hurting himself and every other single guy. Please, do not use your freedom to do such a thing. I will not ban you. I will just send someone to break your kneecaps and thumbs.

Rules:

1. Please do not use profanity. I am sure there are uses for such a thing. But in order to avoid driving off all the nice young ladies, please avoid this. A list of prohibited words can be found on the prohibited words page. ---------------->

2. Please avoid topics that will drive off the ladies. There is a place for them in the “guys only” forum area. Go wild there. You won’t be banned, but remember I will not send warning before the guy comes to break your kneecaps and thumbs.

3. Please avoid behavior that will drive off members. This is a place to discuss, exchange ideas, and learn. We cannot do that if no one is here. I am giving wide latitude in this area, but don’t test it.

4. Concerning theological topics, there are at least two areas I do not desire discussion. The first is the authority of God’s Word. We might discuss what it says or means, but not whether it is true or right. The second concerns the Trinity.  Apparently as this becomes an issue, certain individuals can never let it go. A third area concerns Saturday versus Sunday worship. While an occasional jab or off reference is ok, there is no productivity in endlessly going over the same subject. Theologically we will hold closely to the Nicene Creed.

5. Atheism: we can host atheists, but there are plenty of other places and forums in which this debate can occur. The assumption, on this forum, is that there is a God and He sent His Son Jesus.

6. Posting pictures of scantily clad women/men, etc. As explained in rule #3, do not do it.

7. Using those little "DH" (dear husband), "DD" (dear daughter), "DS" (dear son), MIL (mother-in-law), and DSWWBPAHTLSOHT (dear son who was born premature and has this little scar on his thigh)  are prohibited.  They might seem cute to you, but are like scraping nails on blackboards to me.  Avoid this.  If there is something I will ban a member over, this will be it.

Violation of rules:

If you violate the rules, do not be surprised if I call you out in the open forum about it. Also, do not be too alarmed as some violations are minor or a result of not knowing the rules. I reserve the right to deal with each violation how I will. I will answer complaints about how I dealt with the violation in the complaints forum, if there are complainers.

No one is going to get banned unless they are determined to be a bot or some other dubious character. I suppose there could be extreme cases of belligerent disruptive members who might court banning. But always remember the purposes of this forum. Also, if you are a trouble maker and your doorbell rings at 11pm at night, do not answer it before taking some strong pain meds.
